Terms & Conditions

If you wish to book one of our Art & Furniture Making Courses or Rent Holiday Cabins with us, then please read the Terms & Conditions below.

DEPOSITS for SHORT COURSES
In order to book your place on a short course please pay a 30% deposit of the price of the course.  Once we have received your enquiry we will send you details for payment via email with our bank details for a BACS transfer. Payment will be acknowledged and the booking confirmed by email. The full balance is payable within 45 days prior to the course starting. The deposit is fully refundable or transferable up to 45 days before the beginning of the course.
Less than 45 days from the beginning of the course the deposit is not refundable unless you transfer to another short course AND the original place is filled; in which case the deposit will count in full towards the new course.

DEPOSIT for JOURNEY TO MAKING

For the Journey to Making one year program a non-refundable deposit of £400 is required on booking, with the remaining sum due either in full 6 weeks before the start of the course, or payable monthly in 6 instalments starting by the 1st july 2022. There is a 5% dicount on full payment 6 weeks ahead of the start of the program.

CANCELLATIONS BY US
The Brake reserves the right to cancel any course. If we cancel a course, we will let each participant know and give each the opportunity to transfer to another course. Otherwise the full cost of fees will be refunded. We shall not be liable for any other consequential loss.

CANCELLATIONS BY YOU
Cancellations on the part of the participant made less than 45 days before the start of the course are non-refundable. We will however do our best to find a new participant; in these circumstances we will happily give you a refund. Cancellations made before that time will incur a £20 administration charge.

CLASS POSTPONEMENT
In the event of illness, we will attempt to find another tutor. If this is not possible, the course will be postponed, participants will be notified and the course will be rescheduled. Alternatively, the missed hours may be added to the remaining course classes.

NON-ATTENDANCE
Non-attendance of courses due to illness, or for personal or professional reasons does not provide the right to refunds, extra tuition or transferal to another course. However, in such an event we shall consider all the circumstances and take such action that we consider fair and reasonable, subject to availability.
